Recipe: Protein Banana Bread

Last week I've tried something new. I saw the recipe on the Instagram of @healthyfans and tried it out right away. It turned out delicious and I made another bread the next day. Make sure to check her Instagram for more pretty food piccies and healthy recipes.

What you need: 

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 medjoul dates
  • 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (the second time I used banana flavored protein powder, and that tasted pretty good too!
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 2 handfuls of fruit (or nuts, raisins, cacao nibs, anything really)
Note: When you don't want to use protein powder, you should add more rolled oats and a date or two extra!
What you do: 
First blend the bananas with the dates. Add the oatflour, eggs, baking powder and protein. Blend till smooth. Add the blueberries. Bake at 180C for about 45 minutes.
