I've moved!

Dear followers of the Dainty Dream blog,

A couple of months ago I decided to take my blog to the next level. I've been on blogspot voor almost 10 years and now I finally made the decision to switch to wordpress.
Slowly but surely I've been copying my blogposts to my new account, it's a lot of work, but I'm getting it done. So please, if you don't want to miss out, go to www.daintydream.com and follow me there!

What is going to change on Daintydream.com:

  • Blog content in English and in Dutch. Just switch between the two languages by clicking the little flags. People kept asking me for recipes in Dutch, so this was one of the big changes around here. From now on every blogpost will be in both languages.
  • More free downloads. In the past I used to make a lot of free downloads and I'm planning on making more in the future. I'm so full of ideas, I can't wait to show it to you all.
  • My friends always call me 'Miss List', because I make lists for everything. I'm gonna share my planner pages with you every now and then.

Blog schedule:

What's in my bento box #02

It's time to share another bento box with you! I usually use left overs from dinner to fill my box, like this time. Every time I open my Bento Box at work it feels like a little party!

In the first box I had a my lunch: a small salad with grilled chicken shreds, tomato, carrot and roasted pine nuts, I also added some extra smoked salmon, because I could use some protein and we had some left after we ate a pasta with salmon.

In the second box I had my snacks. Parmesan edamame, 1 slice of banana bread (cut in two, so it fits the box), some cherries and strawbarries and 2 kelepon (sweet indonesian snacks).

Movie Review: Amy (2015)

Despite just two albums to her name Amy Winehouse is one of the biggest music icons in British history. With a voice often described as a combination of Billy Holiday, Dinah Washington and Sarah Vaughan, Amy Winehouse was a pop star with soul; a once in two generational musical talent whose appeal crossed cultural and demographic boundaries. But while her music made her a star, her chaotic personal life stole headlines.

Since her first album I've been a fan of Amy Winehouse's music. I went to two of her concerts in Amsterdam with Laura and when she died I framed my concert tickets. When I heard this movie was coming out, I knew I wanted to go there, so I asked Laura to join me, since we've also been to her concerts together. We didn't really know what to expect, we already saw every possible bit of info about her and her death on the internet. Well, that's what we thought.

We were wrong. Apparently Amy and her friends used to 'Vlog' a lot. Using a handy cam to film each other. The documentary had lots of new footage, stories from friends and families and lot's of Amy singing. It's a raw, sad, tragic, funny, but most of all beautiful documentary about the life of one of my all time favorite singers.
